From May 12 to 14, the new themed weekend in Burgas is coming - "Green and Sporty", in which we - the Bulgarian Biodiversity Foundation - are also actively involved.
On May 12 (Friday) we start with a Carnival and parade with Burgas children. The assembly point is at 5:00 p.m. on the square in front of the Municipality, from where the participants will walk along Bogoridi Street to the open stage "Ohlyuva", where they will parade on stage and present themselves as what species they have disguised and costumed. The "Green Burgas" carnival is organized by the BBF, the Municipality of Burgas and RIEW Burgas. More than 250 children from 20 schools have pre-registered for the march by the May 5 deadline.
On May 13 (Saturday) we will continue at the Bird Watching Hide, where everyone will be able to see the inhabitants of Atanasovsko Lake - the Avocet, Black-winged stilt, flamingos, Common shelduck and others.
And with volunteers from Unicredit Bulbank AD, we will have a campaign for mowing, removing grass, varnishing a screen, etc., in order to prepare the Avocet’s Trail for the new season.
On May 13 at 6:30 p.m. in the Cultural Center "Sea Casino" there will be a screening of the film "Salty People", after which there will be a short meeting with the BBF team.
