Webinar: The wetlands - the cradle of life

A team of the Lagoon of Life project will take part in the latest webinar of the Greenpeace Bulgaria initiative - "Keepers of the Water". The topic of the webinar on March 30 at 6.30 pm is dedicated to life in wetlands.
The speakers at the upcoming event will be Spas Uzunov and Radostina Tzenova from BBF.
  • Spas Uzunov is an expert in the research and assessment of habitats and plant species. He has many years of experience in the conservation of protected areas in different parts of Bulgaria, in the preparation of expertise, analysis and evaluation. In the last 8 years, he has been actively working for the restoration and protection of coastal lagoons such as Atanasovsko and Pomorie lakes.
  • Radostina Tzenova has been communicating the benefits of wetlands for more than 20 years. Her work has always focused on the Burgas wetlands and their role in biodiversity and people. She has also worked for Strandzha, the Balkan and the people project, etc.
During the webinar, we will talk about wetlands - who they are and where they are in Bulgaria. We will pay special attention to the wetlands along the Black Sea coast and discuss the problems and challenges facing their conservation and the successes and good examples we are proud of.

We will also get acquainted with the Lagoon of Life project and Atanasovsko Lake to get inspired and visit this extremely valuable and remarkable place.
