The fourth meeting of the Project Steering Board of the Lagoon of Life project, funded by the LIFE program of the European Union, was held in Sofia on February 11, 2021. Taking into account the epidemiological situation, some participants were online and joined through zoom platform, and the rest gathered in the hall of BCNL on Hristo Botev Street in Sofia.

The composition of the Steering Board was changed and new participants joined - Mr. Borislav Bechev from the Directorate "National Nature Protection Service", MoEW replaced Varadina Nacheva, and BSPB is now represented by the director of the organization - Mrs. Vanya Ratarova-Georgieva.

The meeting was opened by Rumyana Ivanova - Executive Director of BBF, who introduced the new participants, and then was led by Diyana Kostovska - Project Manager of Lagoon of Life. The coordinators of the partners - Nikolay Pironkov from Chernomorski Solnitsi AD and Stefka Polonova from Zaedno 2011 took part online. The participants were also Dr. Petar Yankov from BSPB and Spas Uzunov from BBF.

The progress of the Lagoon of Life project was briefly discussed, but more attention was paid to the issues raised in the EASME letter, the delay in some conservation activities, and the discussion on the preparation of the MidTerm Report of the project.
